Why You Should Take Notes By Hand
Why You Should Take Notes By Hand Attending classes, college lectures or conferences leave your laptop in its bag, or don`t bring it at all. Because if learning is your goal, using a laptop during class is a terrible idea. Try to use traditional tools: paper and a pen and you will find something surprising. Scientific research says youll get much more out of classes when you are taking notes by hand instead of using laptop. Whats more, students perform worse on exams when they use laptops in class. So, whats the reason? Researchers have found that laptop use during class-time might be distracting. In other words, a laptop is whole world of distraction: its so easy to click over to Facebook or buy things on Amazon during the lecture. And even when students arent distracted with their laptops, the act of taking notes using keyboards actually seems to interfere with their ability to remember information. Typing is faster than handwriting for most people and it can come in handy when theres a lot of information. But it turns out the fact that you are slower when you take notes by hand is what makes it more useful for better long-term comprehension. It happens because students on laptops usually just mindlessly type everything a teacher says without extra processing of the material. But students taking notes the old-fashioned way, have to actively listen and select whats important. And this extra processing of the material ultimately benefits them. So, despite of the fact that the idea of taking notes by hand just seems old-fashioned to many students today. There are still advantages of taking notes with a pen and paper. If you want to learn something and remember lectures better maybe you should put your laptop away. And ask our Writing Tutors about simple techniques how to take notes more effectively. Chemistry Oven - Useful For Every Student to Teach
Chemistry Oven - Useful For Every Student to TeachIt is not uncommon for a lot of science classes at school to be taught using chemistry ovens. Because chemistry is an easy subject to learn, it can easily be taught in a classroom environment, where many students may have no prior chemistry experience.Chemistry ovens are an essential part of any teacher's arsenal for teaching the subject in a classroom setting. Without one, students would have to come up with different ways to bring about the reactions that the teacher is looking for, and this would be very time consuming and often not very accurate. The next step in teaching chemistry would be to allow students to experiment on their own. This can help with maintaining good habits. With this, they would start using the correct reaction that the teacher wants them to use and making sure that they take all necessary precautions when handling chemicals.Students would also make mistakes and use their chemistry ovens to help them learn fro m their mistakes. This would also improve the students' time management, as well as their comprehension and confidence in using their chemistry ovens to conduct experiments. They could also teach their chemistry class students about how to apply the principles of chemistry using various metals and other chemicals. In many cases, these would include creating new combinations to solve chemical problems and a variety of other things.A chemistry oven is also perfect for students who are teaching other science classes at school. If a student wants to teach the chemistry of oil, for example, they would use the right utensil to do so.For cooking classes, a laboratory oven would also be useful. The oven could be used to create different types of foods, ranging from the basic popcorn to kimchi, in various amounts.

Chemistry Combustion - How it Can Help You
Chemistry Combustion - How it Can Help YouChemistry combustion refers to the process in which chemicals react in an environment to produce heat. The process starts with a chemical compound called an oxidant and the gas phase called a clean agent. The reactants become unstable and burn with the heat produced. Chemical reactions occur on a microscopic level in the atmosphere because of the varying levels of oxygen present in the air.Heat from chemical combustion is commonly felt in areas where there is windy conditions. Windy conditions create turbulent conditions, which allow the volatile molecules of the gas to mix. This mixing produces more combustible gases that can then reach the surface. The first reason that a person would look into how to control chemical combustion is because they want to enjoy more space while driving. When it comes to cold temperatures, you don't need to waste your precious fuel.Another common example is when people use the sulfuric acid in home remedies or detergents to clean up their homes. The sulfurous properties allow the cleaning agent to react with the cleaning solvent, which will combine all together, resulting in a beautiful odorless, colorless liquid. The combination of chemicals is what results in the reaction between the cleaner and the cleaning solvent. The use of gas chromatography and high-speed processing equipment has changed the way that people experience some types of chemical reactions. This process involves a chemical compound to be put through the different stages of the chemical process. Once the compound is put through the process, the components of the compound are separated and placed in different bottles that have the specific numbers so that the mixture can be analyzed. The large company that manufactures the equipment has a wide range of products that will help you analyze this compound. There are tests that you can do to test for the reaction time and other variables that can affect the reaction and that you can even add your own customized tests to help you understand the reaction. Since this process is going to be used in your business, you want to ensure that you are fully familiar with the software. This procedure also allows a chemist to separate the compound to be used into smaller parts that are easier to handle. The larger compound makes for more expensive work and this is where the cleaning and the analysis come in. This method allows the product to be cut into pieces that can be easily handled. It also allows the work to be done at a higher speed. When you start talking about this procedure, the application of chemicals is not the only thing that is involved. You will need to take care of the clean up. This can include any type of cleaning fluids that the product may require and you will need to remove the contaminants. In some cases, there are quite a few that you will need to deal with.

During the lessons, you'll have their undivided attention, making these the most cost-effective tutorials available. However, they also tend to be the most costly per hour as you're paying for personalised tuition and all the tutor's time both inside and outside of your Arabic classes London. As long as you've got a webcam, mic, and decent internet connection, you can enjoy online tutorials. This is when your tutor teaches you remotely via a video call. These may be students who already know one another or strangers. Either way, with several students footing the bill, these tutorials tend to be the cheapest option per student per hour of tuition. Many tutors on Superprof offer the first hour of tuition for free so consider trying a few different tutors before settling on the right one for you.
The 2 Soft Skills You Need for Business School
The 2 Soft Skills You Need for Business School Two soft skills? Only two? Yes, there are countless skills, both hard and soft, that you need for business school. Areas like mathematics, data analysis, spreadsheet construction, and statistics interpretation fall on the hard side. The soft side includes stress management, self-awareness, communication, and collaboration. But which soft skillsare most important? In addition to actually listening to the people around you, the two soft skill areas you must develop for any MBA program fall under two main categories: being a strong colleague and being a strong leader. Learning to master this pair of skills will help you immensely as you navigate the competitive world of business schooland business! [RELATED: 5 Tips to Ease the Transition from Business School to the Business World] Being a strong colleague First, you need to develop friendships with your fellow classmates, particularly those in your study groups, assigned or otherwise. In the long term, you are building connections for the future; but for the short term, making new friends can make school more fun, especially when your group is spending hours together performing research, studying for an exam, or completing a project. Working with people who share an accord and solidarity can help create a more enjoyable MBA experience for all those involved. Second, it is also wise to cultivate positive relationships with members of your business schools faculty and administration. These individuals often have years of real world management experience, so you can learn from their perspectives as people who have truly been there. Furthermore, not everyone makes the effort to talk with their professors outside class, so you may stand out in your instructors mind if they have to make a tough administrative decision. For instance, its harder for someone to keep you out of a full class or give you a failing grade if they have had multiple endearing conversations with you. Finally, convert recruiters and alumni at your target companies from acquaintances to buddies. Dont merely learn a recruiters name, rank, and serial numberfind out about their company culture, what they like about their job, what they dont like about their job, and what they are looking for in a future team member. Ask what they like to do outside of work; discover what you have in common. Knowing you have advocates at the places you would like to work helps you feel more confident as you submit your applications to those companies. Being a strong leader When trying to persuade other individuals to share your point of view, it helps if these people already view you as a strong colleague. Lets start with your fellow classmates, particularly those in your study groups. MBA programs abound with students who have strong personalities. Therefore, it is crucial to master the art of leading others and managing conflict. As in your future career, influencing team dynamics involves working across culturesdifferent departments, ages, companies, viewpoints, and countries. You will need to exert great patience to effectively regulate these situations, and business school provides a valuable setting in which to practice these skills. Onto your business schools faculty and administration. As mentioned above, issues like getting into the classes you want and petitioning for a higher grade are easier to steer in your favor when you have a positive rapport with the people in charge. Additionally, when you want to connect with certain mentors in your field, asking professors who have personal links to these people may be the way to go. Those who can influence others with aplomb will likely have more success in these endeavors. Finally, in your career, you must be able to convince recruiters and alumni at target companies to hire you for positions, sometimes over your equally qualified peers. You are selling yourself both as a potential asset to the company and as a harmonious team member. If an alum or a recruiter selects you, then they may be interacting with you every day. To swing these professionals your way, present yourself as the only solution to their problems, stated or implied. After all, this is one of the main reasons you are attending business school, so make your influence count. [RELATED:Top Questions to Ask Alumni When Exploring Business Schools] As you can see, being both a good colleague and a good leader are inextricably linked. These are not just two of the most important soft skills you need for business school, but they are also two imperative talents to develop as you move from the classroom into your future career. In addition to learning how to gather, analyze, and present facts and figures as an MBA graduate and colleague, you will also need to know how to persuade your peers on how to act on that information, as you later hopefully move into management. Each will introduce new Hindi words. In fact, reading news articles might possibly be the best way to build up your vocabulary!Another advantage is that newspaper articles are usually fairly short and written clearly. The sentences are not too primitive, but not too long, either.Their length makes it easier for a student of the Hindi language to sit down in the morning with their dictionary and read some Hindi. You wonât have hundreds of pages starting back at you, daunting in their length. As a beginner, you can choose one or two articles, based on their length or your interests (cricket? Hindi TV shows?). Because of their condensed format, every word counts and there isnât much underlying narrative that can help you figure out a word.So if you like to experience a language without running to a dictionary every few minutes, you could try reading stories in Hindi.Childrenâs Books: How to Choose? The wonderful thing about childrenâs books is that there is always something at your level, and itâs easy to find out what.Children's books are not just for children - they are excellent ways of learning Hindi with books at any age! Photo credit: peterwmdavis on Visualhunt.comWhen you are first learning Hindi, there are two types of books that will help you along:Word books or illustrated dictionaries (such as DKâ Hindi-English Bilingual visual dictionary, My First Picture Dictionary by Maria Watson and Anand Joshi or the themed Childrenâs Bilingual Picture Diction aries (such as Numbers, Vehicles or Clothes by Richard Carlson Jr.)Books for Toddlers and Early Readers (NYU has a series of childrenâs stories online, as does the website Learning Hindi). Here are a few Hindi childrenâs books available in the UK:Purple Turtle and his friends: Purple Turtle Learns to Use Less and Roxi Learns to Swim. What are you feeling, Dragon? As well as some lovely bedtime stories. Then, as you progress, you can choose longer books aimed at elementary school children. And finally, Young Adult books tend to have more engaging stories while still keeping sentence structure fairly simple:Saraswatiâs Intelligence (Book 1 of the Kishkindha Chronicles) is a re-telling of some of the myths of the monkey god Haruman.A Sad Smile is also available on amazon.co.ukAs are two of the Harry Potter books in Hindi: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and The Prisoner of Azkaban.Adult Books: Novels or Nonfiction? While all in all, itâs up to you, I would recommend readin g novels or short stories for adults rather than non-fiction. The prose tends to be less convoluted (mostly) and itâs easier to pick out words in context than in non-fiction. Once you become fluent in Hindi, you can, of course, read anything you like!I would also recommend you stay away from religious texts at first. For one, not all of them are in Hindi (many are in Sanskrit), and for another, hymns and sutras are very poetic and hard to understand for a beginner student.Once you progress far enough, though, Indian sutras are very beautiful. Advanced level is also when you should start reading poems (intermediate is fine, too, if you find a poet who isnât too abstract).Read Hindi books to become fluent in Hindi. Photo credit: quinn.anya on Visualhunt.comIf you want to know more about the Hindu language and culture at a beginner or intermediate level, there are some tales of Buddha and the gods that make good reading; you will find them in childrenâs books, often as morality tales.Once you know what you like, you can read such classics as Gunahon Ka Devta by Dharamvir Bharati, Painstth Lakh ki Dacoity by Surender Mohan Pathak (a novel about banditry), Kitne Pakistan by Kamleshwar or, if you like epic fantasy, Chandrakanta by Devaki Nandan Khatri (from 1888.)Short stories for learning Hindi. For those with little time or stamina, there are various websites that offer shorts at various levels for learning Hindi, such as:Learning Hindi, with shorts of only a few paragraphs and the relevant vocabulary right there in the lessonYour Story Club with short stories by various authors.
